The Gold Protocol: Our Custom Blend for a Smoother, Tighter Neck
By Celeste Pitts, NP • BeneVita Aesthetics & Wellness, Dripping Springs, TX
If you've ever stood in front of the mirror, pulled your neck skin taut, and thought "I wish it just stayed like that" — this post is for you.
The neck is one of the earliest places aging shows up, and one of the hardest to treat with a single product. Loose skin, fine lines, crepey texture, and loss of definition all happen at once, and they each need something different to address them properly.
That's why we developed the Gold Protocol: a custom-blended combination of three ingredients — hyperdilute Radiesse, hyaluronic acid, and micro-dosed neurotoxin — mixed into a single syringe and delivered together in one treatment. Each ingredient targets a different layer of the skin, all at the same time.
Why the Neck Is So Hard to Treat
The neck skin is thinner than facial skin, more mobile, and loses collagen faster. Over time this leads to a combination of problems that tend to show up together:
Crepey, loose skin that loses its snap
Horizontal necklace lines that deepen with age and screen time
Dull, dehydrated texture that makes the neck look older than the face
Loss of definition between the jaw and neck
Treating just one of these things helps, but rarely gives people the result they're actually hoping for. The Gold Protocol was designed to address all of it in one visit.
One Syringe, Three Ingredients
What makes the Gold Protocol unique isn't just what's in it — it's how it's delivered. Rather than using each product separately in sequence, we custom-compound all three ingredients into a single blended syringe before treatment begins:
Hyperdilute Radiesse — a collagen-stimulating biostimulator that rebuilds skin structure from within
Hyaluronic acid (HA) — a hydrating ingredient that smooths surface texture and fine lines
Micro-dosed neurotoxin — used here not to relax muscles, but to improve skin quality directly at the surface
Blending all three into one syringe means every pass of the cannula delivers collagen stimulation, deep hydration, and skin-quality improvement simultaneously — at the same tissue level, at the same time. It's a fundamentally different approach than treating each concern one product at a time.
What Each Ingredient Does
Hyperdilute Radiesse is the structural foundation of the blend. Radiesse is made of calcium hydroxylapatite — the same mineral found in bone — and when diluted down and spread across the skin, it triggers your body to build new collagen over the next 3 to 6 months. Think of it as waking up your skin's own repair system. The result is firmer, more resilient skin that continues improving long after the treatment itself. Effects typically last 12 to 18 months or longer.
Hyaluronic acid is something your body already produces naturally — it's what keeps skin plump, dewy, and bouncy. In the Gold Protocol blend, HA works at the surface layer of the skin to smooth fine lines, soften necklace creases, and restore that hydrated, healthy appearance that makes such a visible difference in how the neck looks. It also provides an immediate result while the Radiesse does its longer-term work underneath.
Micro-dosed neurotoxin — sometimes called Skin Botox or mesobotox — is the part of this blend that surprises most people. At the very low doses used in the Gold Protocol, neurotoxin isn't relaxing muscles. Instead, it's working directly in the superficial layers of the skin to reduce oiliness, tighten pores, improve texture, and smooth the fine surface lines that give the neck that crepey appearance. It's a skin quality treatment, not a muscle treatment — and it's one of the most underappreciated tools in aesthetic medicine for this area.
Most people think of Botox as something that freezes muscles. In the Gold Protocol, the neurotoxin is dosed specifically to work on the skin itself — improving texture, tone, and surface quality in a way that most patients have never experienced before.
What a Treatment Session Is Like
Once your custom blend is prepared, the treatment takes about 30 to 45 minutes. We deliver the mixture using a cannula — a small, blunt-tipped instrument that allows us to cover the entire neck area with just a few entry points. It's much more comfortable than multiple needle injections, and most patients are surprised by how easy it is.
There's minimal downtime. You may notice mild swelling or redness for a day or two, and occasionally some light bruising. Most patients return to their normal activities the same day.
When Will You See Results?
The Gold Protocol delivers results in layers, which is part of what makes it so effective over time:
Hyaluronic acid: immediate improvement in surface hydration and texture, continuing to refine over 2 to 4 weeks
Micro-dosed neurotoxin: skin quality improvement — smoother texture, reduced pore appearance, refined surface — visible within 1 to 2 weeks
Hyperdilute Radiesse: gradual collagen building that peaks around 3 to 6 months and continues improving skin firmness and structure long after
For most patients, we recommend a series of 2 to 3 sessions spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart, followed by maintenance once or twice a year.
Who Is a Good Candidate?
The Gold Protocol works beautifully for patients who are noticing:
Crepey or loose neck skin
Horizontal necklace lines or tech neck creasing
Dull, rough, or uneven skin texture on the neck
Loss of definition between the jaw and neck
A desire for real, visible improvement without surgery or significant downtime
It's not the right fit for everyone. Patients with significant skin excess may be better served by a surgical consultation. We'll always be honest with you about what non-surgical treatment can and can't achieve for your specific anatomy.
Why We Call It the Gold Protocol
In medicine, "gold standard" means the best available approach — the most effective, most carefully considered option. For non-surgical neck rejuvenation, we believe a single customized blend that addresses skin structure, surface hydration, and skin quality all at once is exactly that.
It's not three treatments delivered one after another. It's one precisely formulated blend, designed for the specific complexity of how the neck ages. That difference — in approach, in experience, and in results — is what the Gold Protocol is about.
